Security Operations Relief Officer

Vigilant Security is pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated security professional to become part of our growing team, collaborating with esteemed clients across various locations.

Position Overview:

This role operates on a casual contract basis, requiring availability for shifts during days, nights, and weekends, with potential for additional hours.

The successful candidate (holding an SIA license) will be tasked with upholding the daily security protocols at a crucial site, ensuring a professional image and high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Extend a courteous and warm welcome to all guests.
  2. Proactively address client needs and concerns, ensuring their expectations are consistently met.
  3. Serve as a visible and approachable security professional, engaging with visitors.
  4. Deliver a reliable and professional service at all times.
  5. Promptly communicate visitor or client arrivals to the appropriate personnel.
  6. Maintain a heightened awareness of security at all times.
  7. Conduct regular patrols and inspections as directed by management.
  8. Utilize communication equipment effectively, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  9. Adhere to all health and safety policies.
  10. Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  11. Issue visitor passes in accordance with established procedures.
  12. Keep accurate records of any incidents that occur.

  • Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with individuals at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service communication skills.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Eligible for a background check covering the last five years or since leaving compulsory education.
  • Willing to provide support to the broader team when necessary.
  • In possession of a current SIA license.
