Relief Security Officer

Vigilant Security is pleased to present a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated security professional to become part of our growing team, serving prestigious clients across various locations.

Position Overview:

This role is offered on a flexible contract basis, encompassing shifts during the day, night, and weekends, with potential for additional hours.

The individual in this position (holding an SIA license) will be tasked with upholding the daily security needs at a critical site, ensuring a professional corporate image and high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver a warm, courteous, and prompt welcome to all guests.
  2. Proactively identify and address client needs or concerns to exceed their expectations.
  3. Maintain a visible presence as a customer-focused professional, engaging with visitors.
  4. Provide consistent and professional service at all times.
  5. Notify the appropriate personnel of visitor/client arrivals in a timely manner.
  6. Exhibit a heightened awareness of security protocols at all times.
  7. Conduct patrols and inspections as directed by management.
  8. Utilize relevant communication tools effectively, requiring strong communication skills.
  9. Adhere to all health and safety policies.
  10. Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  11. Issue visitor passes following established procedures.
  12. Keep accurate records of any incidents that occur.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • Impeccable presentation standards.
  • Clear, concise, and confident communication skills, focused on customer service with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Proficient in computer use.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility for vetting covering the last five years or since completing compulsory education.
  • Willingness to provide support to the broader team when necessary.
  • Current SIA license is essential.
