The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker (Adolescent Safety Co-ordinator) to join our Front Door Team

In this role, you will:

  • lead the coordination of the Adolescent Safety Framework from the Front Door
  • support partners with contextual safeguarding responses
  • support threshold and statutory social work responses
  • co-ordinate wider context based responses such as place, school, peer group based interventions
  • will also support to lead our response to children missing from home and education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Senior Social worker as part of the front door team-with a focus on Adolescent Safety
  • Co-ordination of the adolescent safety response and support for partners
  • Oversight of the co-ordination of the children missing from home and education response and the missing co-ordinator

This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about partnership working, supporting adolescents and addressing contextual harm, and who possesses the following skills and experience:

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Experience of working with adolescents
  • Knowledge and understanding of contextual safeguarding
  • Ambitious for children and young people

Desirable Criteria:

  • Background in statutory safeguarding or Youth Justice
