We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our Enhanced Care Observations Team at Weston General Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable patients, providing them with personalized care and support.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients requiring a higher level of observation, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding, while promoting independence.
- Engage patients in meaningful activities, reminiscence-based sessions, games, and crafts to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, effectively interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.

You will possess a genuine passion for providing exceptional patient care and a commitment to working within a dynamic healthcare environment. Your experience in a healthcare or social setting, coupled with your strong interpersonal skills, will enable you to excel in this role.
Essential Requirements
- Experience of providing care in a health care or social setting
