Your role as a Cleaner:

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking people, who have a keen eye for detail and take pride in their work and who enjoy cleaning in a variety of areas to join our team of sports facility cleaners at the David Ross Sports Village on University Park.

Main duties will include and providing both planed and reactive cleaning services working both independently and as part of a team, cleaning a wide range of areas such as laboratories, coffee shop, offices, toilets, bathrooms, changing rooms etc and supporting the local cleaning team with covering holidays, sickness, deep cleaning and any urgent requests/inquiries assigned on the day and providing excellent customer service at all times.

Previous cleaning experience gained within a similar environment and the ability to work independently and as part of a team is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Further details regarding the duties for the role can be found on the attached job role profile.

Positions Available:

There are 4 permanent positions available all of which will attract 20% uplift allowance pay for any hours worked at the weekend. Further details for each position below and please specify on your application which post you are applying for:

Post 1: Hours of work 15 hours per week (5 shifts per week/3 hours each day, mainly Monday to Friday) working between the hours 6:00pm and 9:00pm, on a permanent contract, 52-weeks of the year basis, to include out of term/student vacation periods. Flexibility will be required.

Post 2: Hours of work 6 hours per week (2 shifts per week/3 hours each day, mainly Saturday and Sunday) working between the hours 6:00am and 9:15am, on a permanent contract, 52-weeks of the year basis, to include out of term/student vacation periods. Flexibility will be required.

Post 3: Hours of work 8 hours per week (2 shifts per week/4 hours each day, mainly Saturday and Sunday) working between the hours 6:00am and 10:00am, on a permanent contract, 52-weeks of the year basis, to include out of term/student vacation periods. Flexibility will be required.

Successful candidate will be expected to attend the statutory training courses which will run each day, Monday to Friday mornings each month. Further details will be given at interview which take no longer than 20 minutes.
