The Catering & Facilities Management Service at Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a skilled Mobile Cleaner to enhance cleaning standards within the Ashfield area.

This role involves undertaking 20 hours of cleaning work per week, between the hours of 6.00am to 8.30am and 3.15pm to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday. The exact hours of work may vary within these times, and some additional hours may be available.

As a Mobile Cleaner, you will be required to use your own transport for work, with a mileage allowance paid for travel from your allocated work base to site. A taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, as part of a team of staff, and who is able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be given.

The duties of this role include:

  • Vacuuming
  • Washroom cleaning
  • Sweeping
  • Mopping
  • Dusting
  • Washing of furniture
  • Window cleaning
  • Occasional use of electrical cleaning machinery, such as buffing machines and wet pick-ups

You will play a vital role as part of a large team of cleaning staff, working independently and programming your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.
