Take charge of the complete project management process for a variety of complex and significant engineering undertakings, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards while fulfilling client and stakeholder expectations.
- Provide expert project management guidance in the execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and local/national policies, and serve as an expert witness during planning or public inquiries.
- Evaluate team performance, mentor, and coach team members to enhance their technical skills, aiding them in achieving their individual performance goals and future career aspirations.
- Facilitate collaboration across the organization for major and complex projects to optimize workflow and identify resource needs, thereby supporting the achievement of the company's productivity and profitability objectives across design and construction functions.
- Represent individual projects and the organization at professional, business, and community events and networks at local and regional levels to uphold a positive company image, foster relationships with external parties, and promote internal expertise for business growth.
A degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant post-qualification experience or equivalent practical knowledge gained in a highway and/or civil engineering project management setting.
- Proven ability to lead a team in a dynamic project management environment, making informed decisions and resolving issues to meet team objectives and operational goals while effectively prioritizing team resources to align with business needs.
- Strong proficiency in ICT, including Microsoft Office applications, project management software, and familiarity with data management systems.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrable experience in land acquisition, statutory procedures, contract formulation and management, as well as planning and funding proposals.
- In-depth understanding of procurement practices utilized in design and construction, including tendering processes, contract conditions, and partnership agreements.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management with a track record of successful implementation across all phases of project development, from feasibility studies to on-site construction within a highway and/or civil engineering context.
