Join Our Team as Principal Structural Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for talented Principal Structural Engineers to join our client's team in Aberdeen. This position is available on either a staff or PSC/LTD contract basis.

  • Support the Lead engineer in managing the team, including workload allocation, quality assurance, and timely delivery
  • Contribute design input to tenders and proposals
  • Provide technical input to scopes of work and estimates
  • Ensure compliance with budget and schedule for assigned work
  • Prepare discipline deliverables and collaborate on multidiscipline projects
  • Review and approve discipline deliverables from team members
  • Maintain project plan and provide progress updates
  • Act as a focal point for project scope/schedule changes
  • Ensure adherence to standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Assist in estimating, scheduling, and submission of deliverables
  • Communicate effectively with Lead engineer and project stakeholders
  • Provide technical expertise in resolving queries and design changes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Chartered with a recognized institution (e.g. ICE, IStructE)
  • Experience in offshore Brownfield projects
  • Expertise in concept, FEED, and detailed design of steel structures
  • Familiarity with design codes and standards such as Eurocodes, AISC, and DNV
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders and team members
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis software like STAAD.Pro and Mathcad
  • Understanding of commercial and contractual aspects of Engineering
