We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team at Wood, a global leader in consulting and engineering. As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our current modifications portfolio with one of our major UK North Sea clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide structural engineering expertise to projects, ensuring delivery of projects to tight timescales in accordance with client expectations.
- Define structural engineering requirements for technical scopes, developing deliverables and documentation for use in offshore construction workpacks.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for the procurement of structural fabrications/special items, and undertake engineering checking & approvals.
- Support the Lead Structural Engineer, providing input to project plans and progress reporting, and coaching and mentoring direct reports as delegated.
- MSc, MEng or BSc, BEng or equivalent with extensive relevant experience in brownfield Oil & Gas structural engineering.
- Familiarity with technical direction and control of brownfield Oil & Gas engineering projects, with a strong understanding of International Codes & Client Standards.
- Chartered Engineer Status preferred but not essential.
