Job Summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering major modification projects and ensuring the technical and safety integrity of engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers in delivering complex projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to meet project objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in structural engineering, project management, and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant structural design codes, industry regulations, and company procedures.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with project management tools, software, and systems.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and client locations as required.
