We are looking to appoint a highly effective and motivated HLTA/Assistant SENDCO.

This non-teaching role is designed to add capacity to our existing team. The post holder will support and work with our SENDCO to ensure effective and appropriate SEND provision across the school. This will involve working with all stakeholders to ensure that children with additional needs, vulnerabilities, or barriers to learning receive the support they need to learn, progress successfully and maximise their potential.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver programmes for individuals and small groups, based on their EHCPs and specialist teacher advice, in the following:

Social communication and interaction skills Emotional literacy and social scriptsEmotional regulation and anger management The role also includes: Working closely with the SENDCO to provide administrative support and complete pupil profiles Liaising with specialist teachers to plan and develop the programmes of support We are looking for someone who is well organised and willing to go the 'extra mile'. You will be able to build positive, supportive relationships with staff and students to ensure that teachers are well informed and able to build upon the specific interventions led by specialist teachers and the SEND team to maximise learning within the classroom. The post holder will champion students who need additional support and also play a vital role in communicating and liaising with their parents/carers. Previous experience of supporting and working with young people with ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs is essential.
