Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Primary School Setting

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support our vibrant primary school community. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the learning and development of young students in Key Stage 1.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning and delivery, ensuring a cohesive and engaging learning experience for students.
  • Reinforce key learning concepts through interactive activities and individualized support, catering to diverse learning styles within small groups or one-on-one settings.
  • Assist in the preparation of engaging lesson materials, contributing to a stimulating and enriching classroom environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons with confidence and enthusiasm when required, ensuring continuity of learning.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages social and emotional growth alongside academic progress.

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a dedicated team.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and its pedagogical approaches.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the school day.
