Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced support assistant to work with a student with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a one-form entry primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO to provide a tailored curriculum and support the student's academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage routine and behavior of the student
  • Work one-to-one with the student to support their learning and development
  • Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement a tailored curriculum
  • Provide support and guidance to the student to help them access the curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with the student, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with students with ASC
  • Experience of working in a primary school setting
  • Ability to work one-to-one with a student
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
