Job Summary:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HLTA to support pupils with complex social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as special educational needs such as Autism.

About the Role:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in groups to promote academic and personal growth.
  • Provide academic intervention on core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
  • Mentor and assess pupils to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • De-escalate challenging situations and provide positive encouragement to all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation to ensure a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to pupils to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and counselors, to provide comprehensive support to pupils.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
