We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA Support Worker to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a HLTA Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, as well as special educational needs such as Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic intervention on core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
- Mentor and assess pupils to support their learning and development.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in groups to ensure they receive the best possible education.
- Deescalate challenging situations and provide positive encouragement to all pupils.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviors.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced Child only Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of pay of £12.90+ per hour depending on experience and additional duties.
- A full-time role, Monday to Friday, with a start date in September 2024.
- A term-time only role with a dynamic teaching style that engages pupils.
