About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in class leadership to support a variety of schools in Preston. As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver learning activities, lead classes during PPA time and teacher absences, and contribute to the development of students in diverse educational settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver lesson resources with the teacher
  • Cover classes and deliver planned work in the teacher's absence
  • Maintain a safe and controlled environment in the classroom
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise activities
  • Liaise with other professionals, including teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff
  • Work closely with other LSAs and support staff
  • Prepare and develop class displays
Essential Requirements
  • Experience working with young people
  • Previous HLTA and class leadership experience
  • Comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with young people
  • Creative, proactive, and flexible in your supporting style
  • HLTA qualified - Level 3/4 upwards
