Our client, a leading innovator in complex project delivery in the Nuclear, Offshore and Renewables, both UK and globally, currently seeking an experienced engineer to work on an exciting long-term project in Seascale, Cumbria.

Key Skills & Attributes:
To be responsible for the application of the CDM 2015 Regs in the SCP Project. Conducting assurance and ensuring compliance as Principal Contractor. Position will require extensive Client and Contractor liaison and reporting regarding CDM Matters and will require taking ownership of the Construction Phase Plan and liaison with designers in ensuring Design Risk Assessments are being undertaken and that the Construction File is being compiled compliantly.
Must have in-depth knowledge and application of the requirements of UK/EU Laws and Regulations applicable to construction and engineering tasks.

Highly skilled in the following areas:
  • Knowledge/experience with CDM 2015 and Microsoft Office, with strong IT Skills and Planning.
  • Contractor and Client Liaison, ensuring contractor compliance in their works.
  • Liaising with Design lot partner to ensure CDM is being adhered to in design activities.
  • Ownership of the Construction Phase Plan for SCP.
  • Coach and develop HSE Personnel in the application of the CDM Regs.
  • Raise NCRs when applicable.
  • Highlight any issues to the Site Construction Manager and the HSE Manager as required
  • Good working knowledge of Installation techniques and the wider related engineering construction industry.
  • Experience and application of the Critical Task processes.
  • Extensive experience of minimum safety documentation requirements including risk assessments, method statements COSHH assessments and specialized activities.
Prerequisite Training:
SMSTS/ CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Training Course (TWCTC) and/or CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC). Relevant CSCS Card. Silver/Black
Qualifications / Accreditation's:
  • Experienced Construction OR HSE professional either through apprenticeship or study.
  • ONC/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or significant related experience.

Clearance Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the ability to gain the relevant security clearances.
