Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the CDM 2015 Regulations within the project.
  • Conduct assurance activities and maintain compliance as the Principal Contractor.
  • Engage in extensive liaison with clients and contractors regarding CDM matters.
  • Take ownership of the Construction Phase Plan and collaborate with designers to ensure that Design Risk Assessments are conducted and that the Construction File is compiled in accordance with regulations.

Applicants must possess a comprehensive understanding of UK/EU laws and regulations relevant to construction and engineering tasks.


Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in CDM 2015 and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong IT skills and planning capabilities.
  • Experience in contractor and client liaison, ensuring contractor compliance.
  • Ownership of the Construction Phase Plan for the project.
  • Ability to identify and report issues to the Site Construction Manager and HSE Manager as necessary.
  • Solid understanding of installation techniques and the broader engineering construction industry.
  • Extensive experience with safety documentation requirements, including risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and specialized activities.

Prerequisite Training:
  • SMSTS/CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Training Course (TWCTC) and/or CITB Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC).
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
  • Experience as a Construction or HSE professional, either through apprenticeship or formal education.
  • ONC/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or significant related experience.
