The way we consume content is everchanging and we are building a new agile team to adapt and drive forward a new strategy in a diverse and highly fragmented market. As the Social Media Co-Ordinator in the Scripted team, across comedy and drama titles, you will be a key part of the Digital team.

The Digital team's purpose is to build addressable audiences across social, audio, web, and CRM. We curate and commission content that captivates audiences and delivers attribution back to BBC brands, franchises, and branded services - with the ultimate goal of driving both direct and indirect revenue for BBC Studios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and scheduling of monetised video and 'always on' digital content across AVOD and social channels (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok) using online publishing tools.
  • Curating and creating reactive social content across a portfolio of genre digital channels including the sourcing/editing of video assets.
  • Producing copy that is optimised for specific social platforms
  • Managing communities and conversations on channels in-line with the agreed strategy and in the brand's tone of voice.
  • Working closely with brand and production teams on the delivery and execution of campaigns.
  • Archive rights checking and channel management of video assets, along with administration of metadata, annotations, and usage policies. Providing research to support a clear and compelling presentation of strategies and ideas to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitoring performance of content assets, deriving insights from the data available to optimise and improve future asset creation.
  • Managing editors and their workloads to deliver assets.

  • You have strong editorial sense and ability to develop content ideas.
  • You have strong copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail and an ability to identify improvements.
  • You have good knowledge of the digital landscape and experience of online video and social platforms.
  • You have a willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to develop skills according to the changing needs of the business.
Desirable
  • You have a proven background in content creation and creativity within a digital space.
  • You have experience of building and engaging online audiences.
  • You have a proven ability to work with software such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
  • You have experience of video platforms and analytics tools.
  • You have a passion for TV, innovative digital brands, and online publishers.

Salary: Up to £20,440 (please note that this is the pro-rated salary for this positon as the role will be working 4 days per week) + London Weighting (£5,164).
