We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Social Media Manager. We are looking for someone to work closely with internal and external partners to co-ordinate delivery across all of our social media accounts in accordance with our charitable objectives and in line with channel best practise.

What will I be doing?

Responsibility for the development and delivery of social media campaigns Activity will include writing regular status updates, copy editing, creating and sourcing content and other appropriate activities. Using appropriate monitoring tools to track engagement generated through social media activity Providing regular stakeholder reports that analyse the success of social media activity in helping to achieve KPIs, including participation, financial targets and engagement Monitoring and developing effective benchmarking to measure the impact of paid social media campaigns Liaising with key partners and creative agencies over the production of social media assets and campaigns Creating reactive content in relation to what is trending - developing content ideas quickly to ensure Cancer Research UK is involved in conversations over and above its day-to-day work Overseeing the development and implementation of rolling content plans that align with wider online and offline PR and marketing activity. What skills will I need? Significant experience of working in social media Significant experience of B2C social media community management on behalf of a major brand, media owner or not-for-profit organisation Significant experience of managing projects, agencies and demanding timelines Sound knowledge of digital marketing practices Practical knowledge of Google Analytics and relevant experience of using social media analysis tools Excellent communication, editorial and copy-editing skills, being particularly adept at content creation for multi-channel use Good relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to influence others using clear and persuasive arguments Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills A creative and innovative approach to marketing, fundraising and communications.
