We are partnering with a thriving accountancy firm in Aylesbury to find a talented Client Manager.

About the role of Client Manager:

  • Taking care of a portfolio of clients independently, with assistance from a Junior colleague
  • Driving business growth and promoting it effectively
  • Engaging with both new and existing clients
  • Reviewing and approving accounts (may involve some account preparation)
  • Handling accounts preparation for various entities including limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and charities
  • Compiling corporation tax returns
  • Preparing self-assessment tax returns
  • Assisting clients with accounting and taxation matters
  • Creating management accounts
  • Supporting the company's brand presence (e.g., on social media)
  • Building strong relationships within the team
  • Completing client tasks promptly following internal and external deadlines
  • Adhering to company values and culture
  • Maintaining professional interactions with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Allocating time efficiently to revenue-generating activities
  • Managing task priorities according to business needs

Requirements for the successful Client Manager applicant:

  • Partly or fully qualified with prior experience in an accountancy practice
  • At least five years of practice experience (ideally currently employed in a practice)
  • Experience using TaxCalc/Xero is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and make quick decisions
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Excel, TaxCalc, and Xero
  • Thorough knowledge of FRS102, FRS102 section 1a, and FRS105 is crucial
  • Strong grasp of tax principles and capability to provide sound advice to clients
  • Problem-solving skills, accountability, and the ability to contribute value to the team immediately
  • Must be capable of working autonomously
