Here at North Somerset Council, we have a vision to be Open, Fair and Green, this is at the heart of all we do. Ensuring that our staff have user-friendly systems and the right training to make the best of those systems is an important part of helping to deliver that vision. Our systems project officers sit within our whole council Business Intelligence Service, and for this role you will be one of the experts for our children's care systems.

This permanent role gives a wide range of opportunities, to develop project management skills, training skills, and systems development. You will be supported by the Principal Business Intelligence Leads, our other systems project officers, and the wider business intelligence team.

You will be largely based at home; however, you will be expected to provide some training in person at our office locations and to attend team meetings in the Town Hall.

About you

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the world of children's social care and support, someone who understands how case management systems work, with knowledge of SystemC products a definite advantage, but also someone who is a strong, engaging communicator as you will be delivering training on our systems to front line staff. You will need to be organised, engaging, approachable and logical with a good head for numbers as well as confident explaining complex forms and their outputs. We are keen to find ways to do things better that will benefit both our systems, users and the people who receive care and support services.
