About the Role

?

Reporting to a Team Manager in the Voice, Influence and Change team and working as part of the larger Quality and Impact Service, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children and Family Participation Worker. You will work with children, young people and families to inform the development of services in Warwickshire across health, education and social care, in terms of delivery and commissioning activity. You will support children, young people and families to express their views for different audiences and provide regular reports on these areas of work, which will be varied according to their identified priorities.

This post is temporary till end of March 2025 with the possibility of extension depending on wider service developments across the Children and Families Services.?

Key Requirements:

  • Contributes to the social care service received by individuals, families and groups by providing a programme of engagement sessions, activities and events in an anti-discriminatory manner.
  • Provide a flexible range of support to build confidence, self-esteem and promote independence.
  • Practice accountably, within the prevailing legislative framework and Council policies and procedures, under the supervision of the line manager.
  • Undertake duties on behalf of Team Members in accordance with skill set, training and competence, with support as appropriate, to enable professional growth.
  • Designs plans for activities and events, liaising with colleagues and other agencies as appropriate.
  • Responds to any concerns around child or young person well-being or safeguarding concerns, with support from the Team Manager as appropriate, working collaboratively with the young person, their family and any agencies involved.
  • Record and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and events to meet young people's identified needs and priorities, and prepare reports of this activity and outcomes, being mindful of the impact
  • Works collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, communities, colleagues, and other agencies.
  • Ensures that all recording is carried out in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Attends appropriate continuous professional development activities as are required and suitable, in agreement with the line manager.
  • Can be available to work within any of the Council's localities and to include weekend and evening work.?
