Newly Established Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership

As part of the Families First for Children Pathfinder changes, we are thrilled to announce our newly refreshed Warwickshire Safeguarding Children Partnership. We seek individuals whose passion, vision, and dedication to safeguarding some of the most vulnerable children and young people align with our own.

This position requires an exceptional individual with a proven track record in conducting oversight activities, managing complex issues, and facilitating high-level meetings, particularly in collaborative settings. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong history of providing effective leadership and executing strategic visions;
  • Extensive experience in delivering independent scrutiny and guidance within a collaborative environment;
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing capabilities;
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining productive partnerships;
  • The ability to analyze complex information and provide thorough scrutiny and challenge;
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, statutory guidance, and regulations;
  • Knowledge of effective collaborative practices in safeguarding children.

Successful applicants will undergo a range of pre-engagement checks, including a relevant Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS). In accordance with the DBS code of practice and our policy, individuals with declared criminal offenses will undergo an individual assessment. Warwickshire County Council adheres to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. Candidates must be able to communicate and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.

Note: This is a tender opportunity. The successful individual will contract directly with the Council and provide the services detailed in the duties and specification documents, adhering to the Council's terms and conditions.

The fees for this role will be based on a daily rate, including all expenses, contingent on attendance for a maximum number of days per annum.
