Position Overview

Senior Clinical Psychologist - South Warwickshire RISE (CAMHS)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist with a passion for supporting children and adolescents.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Principal Clinical Psychologist to contribute to the RISE core mental health services.

We are open to considering candidates currently at an 8a level who are eager to advance to an 8b position through a structured professional development program.

RISE, previously known as CAMHS, serves as Coventry and Warwickshire's specialized mental health service for young individuals. You will engage in evidence-based practices to provide effective, person-centered care to the youth we serve. The position offers excellent support and opportunities for ongoing professional development, training, and accreditation in therapeutic models aligned with service goals. Individual clinical supervision, along with group-based model supervision for specific interventions (e.g., EMDR, CBT), will be available. We actively encourage and support clinical leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a diverse and supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate with child and adolescent psychotherapists, nurses, children's wellbeing practitioners, psychiatrists, art therapists, assistant psychologists, social workers, and trainees from various psychological backgrounds.

We seek a motivated individual with exceptional clinical skills, ready to tackle the challenges of delivering optimal services across RISE. Flexibility in working patterns and hours can be accommodated.

This is a pivotal moment to join the RISE service as we expand our workforce of psychological professionals and transition towards an integrated children's directorate, implementing a new clinical framework for children's wellbeing.

You will work closely with team and clinical leads within RISE Services, with opportunities to influence and enhance our core mental health offerings. Reporting to the Service Manager and the Consultant Psychologist for RISE Core, you will be enthusiastic and skilled, prepared to meet the challenges of delivering high-quality services across RISE. Your role will be crucial in supporting the service during a period of growth and transformation, and your ability to assist teams in managing this transition will be vital to your success.

About Us

Successful candidates will benefit from:

  • Regular management supervision and performance reviews
  • Flexible working arrangements, including opportunities for remote work
  • Engagement in creative specialized or shared roles
  • Participation in reflective practice and complex case discussions
  • A welcoming and experienced multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Opportunities to contribute to service innovation and transformation, such as home treatment teams for eating disorders and tailored mental health services for specific needs
  • Involvement in the development of the local DClinPsy training program, with opportunities to teach
  • Development of leadership skills through practical experience and training
  • Being part of a service recognized with a 'Good' CQC rating
