About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will play a central role in the delivery of our Sleep and Mental Health services, working closely with our research team to develop and implement innovative interventions for psychosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychological therapy to individuals with psychosis, using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
  • Supervise research assistants in the recruitment and assessment of trial participants, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with our research team to design and implement new interventions for psychosis, leveraging your expertise in clinical supervision and research methodology.
  • Contribute to the development of our research strategy, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange with other healthcare providers and academic institutions.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff members, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Expertise in CBT for psychosis, with a strong understanding of the theoretical underpinnings and evidence base.
  • Experience of working in a research setting, with a proven track record of publishing research papers and presenting at conferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
  • Ability to travel to different locations within the trust and surrounding areas, as required.
