This role is an 'in-house' role in an medium-sized and established energy company and will provide the opportunity for a career direction in a culture which is different from that of a a typical Banking or advisory environment. We have Private Equity owners and the role will regularly interface with their deal team and a range of other senior advisors.

We are based at new offices in Tavistock Square, near Euston and offer a package that includes an annual bonus, cash-based share scheme and other benefits.

The Head of Corporate Finance and M&A is responsible for maximising the value creation from financing and M&A activities, working closely with the FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and Business Development functions. This includes:

Providing strategic insight and knowledge to shape the financial direction of the businessTransaction managementManaging financial modelling to support M&A and financing projectsValuation analysis and reportingAssist with due diligenceStructuring financial transactionsAssisting with negotiationsSupporting the preparation of relevant transaction documents
Helping co-ordinate the work of external advisors

Degree qualified ir equivalent experienceMore than 8 years' senior Corporate Finance/M&A experience either financial services or in-houseUnderstanding of financial modelling and analysisExperience in the infrastructure, energy and/or waste industries advantageousExperience of working with PE advantageousExperience of project financing advantageousHighly proficient in Microsoft Office packages.Proven track record delivering transactions
