Deputy Manager- Children's/ Young Adults Services

Location: Melksham

Full-time position

Salary: joining bonus

Brook Street Social Care is recruiting on behalf of a client specialised in supporting children and young people in their every-day activities to create them the opportunity to enjoy life from a young age regardless the challenges they have experienced previously.

The organisation is due to open a brand new Residential Home for Children in Salisbury and they are seeking for a Deputy Manager to join the organisation.

About the role:

  • Support the Registered Manager and act on behalf whenever needed
  • Lead and manage the team, work together as a unit to make sure the service is running smoothly
  • Supervise staff operations, including conducting performance evaluations and ensuring compliance with training requirements
  • Coordinate health and safety initiatives, including:
    Implementing and monitoring safety protocols
    Conducting risk assessments
    Verifying completion of mandatory training programs

About you:

  • Experience as Senior Support Worker (1 year min.),demonstrating effective leadership
  • Minimum Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce qualification
  • Must have excellent communication skills and problem solving mindset
