Job Title: Application Support Specialist

Contract: Full time & Permanent; 37.5 hours per week

Location: Northwich / Hybrid

Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 plus excellent benefits

Residential Management Group (RMG), a large established market leading property management company, is looking for an experienced Data and Applications Specialist.

We offer a hybrid working environment, therefore when not working from home, you will be based out of our Northwich Office a couple of days per week, with the requirement to travel to other RMG locations, when required.

What are we looking for?

We are implementing RiskBase and we're looking for extensive application specialist experience someone who can be the 'Champion' of RiskBase, someone

  1. who can engage with suppliers and talk confidently about specifications
  2. is confident to engage with the business to gather business requirements, to understand how we can improve the process
  3. who can also help develop the supplier's product within the business as well as our own processes
  4. who has the right application specialist experience, can learn the ins and outs of RiskBase and become the subject matter expert (SME) within RMG.
  5. to serve as SME on all data integrity and quality best practices whilst performing data integrity checks and cleanses.

What we're NOT looking for

We're not looking for 1st line help desk/support applications and we're not looking for a RiskBase expert - although if you do have RiskBase experience, or experience of another Health & Safety software, that would be highly beneficial

What are some of the tasks you will be doing?

  • Collaborate and engage with cross-functional teams, including developers, quality assurance, and business analysts, to provide technical assistance.
  • Investigate and resolve application-related issues reported by end-users or identified during monitoring.
  • Ensure Data Integrity across core systems.
  • Monitor and maintain the front-end and back-end functionality of applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to user interfaces (UI), APIs, databases, and integrations.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality improvements.
  • Communicate directly with internal users, and solution providers to understand their needs and challenges and be the enabler to drive the solution forward.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries, resolving issues, and offering guidance.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements for enhancements or bug fixes.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

Essential

  • Demonstrable extensive experience as an application support engineer, preferably in a production environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide a consistent high level of customer service, to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues with attention to detail.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel to intermediate level.

Advantageous

  • Good Data extraction, analysis, manipulation and report writing skills.
  • Experience of RiskBase or Health & Safety Risk Assessment compliance software
  • Knowledge of Qube, CPL or other Property Management Applications
