Role Overview:
To assist in the provision of high quality, customer-focused service to all customers contacting the Council both externally and internally and to ensure as many enquiries and service requests as possible are resolved at the first point of contact to maximise customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with all customers in a courteous, prompt and appropriate manner using excellent written and verbal communication skills at all times and by agreed Customer Service standards and statutory procedures relevant to the service area.
Respond to customer requests for information or service using appropriate digital resources to ensure the highest quality service is maintained.
Manage the expectations of both the assessors and clients by giving reliable and accurate information.
Prioritising workloads to ensure best interests are applied and business needs are met.
Create and accurately maintain all electronic records ensuring compliance with GDPR for GIS and all partner services and agencies.
Engage with difficult or upset customers, handling complaints professionally and courteously in line with corporate proceduresQualifications:
Previous experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Empathetic and patient approach when dealing with customers.
Problem-solving abilities to address customer issues effectively.
Proficiency in using customer service software and tools.
