Although the business has been established over 100 years, the UK subsidiary consists of a relatively small yet dynamic team, hence the requirement to be office based two days a week to be an active contributor within a collaborative team environment.
For this key position, we are seeking to appoint a high energy individual with the necessary drive, attitude and commitment to work rate to hit the ground running as quickly as possible. In addition, the successful candidate must be a strong team player and loyal as we are seeking to appoint a long term member to our close knit team.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Reporting to the UK Country Manager, the position will involve managing a mixed portfolio of retail / grocery and potentially B2B orientated accounts (specific account portfolio will depend upon the successful candidate's background and experience to date). In addition, and as part of the brief, there will also be a requirement to identify new business development opportunities with other key / national accounts throughout the UK
Key duties will include: identification and tapping into huge new business opportunities and / or the management and development of growth potential within existing accounts.
This will include proposal, presentation and selection of products, negotiation of pricing policy, placement and implementation of marketing support packages, creation and implementation of category management.
Organisation / management of promotional activity, regular liaison with the central head offices often involving multi point negotiations at a senior management / Board level.
Close liaison with the marketing department and senior management team to devise / implement further specific promotional activity.
Compiling statistical and analytical reports, thereafter presented to senior management.
Candidate Profile:
Professional, dynamic, polished, enthusiastic, numerate and articulate. Highly self motivated with a smart appearance and structured / disciplined approach, ideally having benefited from some form of ‘structured / professional sales training’.
For this position, we require a highly personable individual, who is not only a committed team player but additionally is an excellent Relationship Builder / Account Manager and new business hunter.
Must possess the ability to manage all business related processes on an ‘end to end’ basis with the ability to plan, prepare and promote combined with superb communication, negotiation and listening skills.
This position represents a critical role within the business and therefore a great opportunity for the successful candidate to occupy a highly visible profile with a major international manufacturer
