to support our activities within the

Energy (Nuclear)

sector.nYour main responsibilities will be:nDesign and engineer specifications for equipment such as pumps, pipelines, and filters for various applications within the Energy (Nuclear) sector.nConduct hands-on calculations, particularly in pressure drop analysis, to ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems.nDevelop and review P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for wastewater and compressed air systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.nOptioneering and concept definition to identify system requirements.nSupport the full project lifecycle from concept development and requirements gathering to verification and validation.nWrite technical reports to document evidence gathered and technical decisionsnLiaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure project success.nWho are we looking for?nExperienced Engineer with a background in Mechanical Piping and Water Systems or Chemical Process Engineering.nDriven and Motivated Engineer with the ability to grow and lead a team.nAn Engineer who is an expert in understanding, designing, and configuring industrial fluid systems.nExperience in designing equipment such as pumps, pipelines, and filtersnExposure to containment systems, preferably in environments such as Sellafield, Westinghouse, or EDF suppliersnYou are...nPassionate about engineeringnResult-OrientednProactive

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.n3-5 years of experience as an Engineer involved with mechanical piping, water systems, or chemical process engineering.

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or 3 years if highly specific to the role.

Experience with Nuclear systems is advantageous.nProficiency in applying theories of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and hydraulics engineering principlesnStrong comprehension of design documentation for industrial fluid systems with the ability to share and convey this knowledge.nUnderstanding of industry standard design codes and their application to the design process (i.e. ASME)nAn effective and thorough communicator with leadership qualities.nPosition based in Derby or Warrington, with a very flexible schedule requiring occasional on-site presence.
