Experienced Nuclear Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Modern Mechanical Systems, Inc. as a key member of our Nuclear and Clean Energy division. As an Experienced Nuclear Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing complex mechanical systems for nuclear fusion and energy applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical systems for nuclear fusion and energy applications, including test rigs and structural integrity assessments.
- Conduct finite element analysis and stress analysis using software such as ABAQUS.
- Develop and implement tool/assessment automation using programming languages such as Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain technical reports, design substantiations, and safety case references.
- Degree qualified mechanical engineer (or other relevant qualification).
- Experience in carrying out mechanical engineering substantiation for new designs or existing plant.
- Experience in writing accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports.
- Experience in delivery accountability for mechanical engineering solutions.
- Experience in finite element analysis, piping and pressure vessel design, and tool/assessment automation is highly desirable.
