About the Role: As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of strategic Retailer accounts. Your primary goal is to ensure that the business meets and exceeds customer metrics, driving exceptional category performance across these accounts. This role requires a deep understanding of FMCG and or Food brands, along with a strong track record of dealing with major UK Retailers. Your ability to negotiate, develop business opportunities, and build lasting relationships will be crucial to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Account Management: Manage and grow strategic Retailer accounts, ensuring that the business meets all key customer metrics.
* Category Performance: Monitor and analyse category performance, implementing strategies to exceed targets.
* Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within your accounts to drive growth.
* Negotiation: Lead negotiations with key stakeholders, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
* Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within Retailer accounts, becoming a trusted partner.
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and ensure the company remains competitive.
* Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on account performance and key insights.
Key Requirements:
* Experience: Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, preferably within FMCG and/or Food brands, with a strong focus on UK Retailers.
* Skills:
* Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure the best outcomes for the company.
* Business Development: Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Relationship Management: Excellent relationship-building skills, with a track record of managing and growing key accounts.
* Market Analysis: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends to inform strategy.
* Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills; Powerpoint.
* Systems: Working knowledge of SAP , SAC, SaaS.
* Industry Experience: Experience working in a multinational company is highly desirable.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
* Education: A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
