As the Head of Community Engagement, you will lead our clients efforts to connect with and empower the community. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance community participation, foster relationships, and amplify their impact. This role requires a strategic visionary with excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record in community engagement and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy that aligns with the charities mission and objectives.
* Lead and manage the community engagement team to deliver impactful programs and initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, national organisations, and key stakeholders.
* Oversee the planning and execution of community events, workshops, and outreach activities at a national level
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement efforts, using data to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure a unified approach to community engagement and communications.
* Represent the charity at community events and meetings, advocating for their mission and expanding their network.
* Scoping out new income revenue streams and initiatives
* Stay informed about community needs, trends, and best practices to continually enhance their engagement efforts
Experience
* Significant experience in an engagement, communications, community focussed role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing successful engagement strategies.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in using digital engagement tools and platforms.
* Ability to analyse data and use insights to drive strategy.
