About the role:
As a SEN TA with a specialism in challenging behaviours, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of children with special educational needs. In this particular role, you will work closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, including runners.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs and challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
• Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
• Knowledge of effective strategies and interventions for managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive behaviour change.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with challenging behaviours, including runners, to help them engage in learning activities.
• Implement strategies and interventions outlined in individual education plans (IEPs) to address behavioural challenges effectively.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
