About the role:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in managing challenging behaviours to join our committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with our experienced SENCO and teaching staff to support children with a range of behavioural needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic and rewarding environment and is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of our students. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills through regular CPD and training sessions and be a key part of a team that truly values collaboration and innovation in supporting all children.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.

• A strong understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviours.

• A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.

• A proactive, positive approach and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours, helping them to engage positively with their learning.

• Implement effective behaviour management strategies, tailored to the individual needs of each student.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans.

• Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents, and adjusting support strategies as needed.

• Encourage positive social interactions and support the emotional well-being of all students.
