About the role:

This role stands out as it is crucial for providing tailored support to students with challenging behaviours, such as violence, running, and screaming. As a full-time position, you will work closely with a dedicated and resilient teacher, significantly enhancing the learning experience and wellbeing of our students.

The role, which is newly created to strengthen the existing support structure, requires a full-time commitment to supporting students with complex needs and involves collaborative work within a passionate team dedicated to creating positive learning experiences.

You will support a class with diverse needs, offering tailored assistance to individuals facing behavioural challenges, within a manageable class size that fosters a supportive and focused learning environment.

Application Requirements:

• Proven experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviours.

• Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies.

• Understanding of SEN and effective techniques for managing challenging behaviours.

• Relevant qualifications or experience in Special Educational Needs and Behaviour Support is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individual students with challenging behaviours in class.

• Implement behaviour management plans and strategies to foster positive behaviours.

• Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Assist in the planning and execution of tailored learning activities.
