Job Description
Due to significant business growth and investment and as part of their Demand Creation team my client is looking to recruit an additional high calibre BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER with a proven track record in successfully promoting PHYSICAL ELECTRONIC SECURITY & ENTRANCE related products, services and solutions that are technically biased to Tier 1 Main Contractors?
Do you possess a proven track record in driving profitable business growth via securing framework and/or partnership agreements with Main Contractors along with also succeeding on a project-by-project basis?
Our client is one of the most dynamic Market Leading Manufacturers and Suppliers of Innovative Specialist Security & Entrance Products - IP Video Surveillance, Intercom, Electronic Access Control and closely aligned solutions utilised in Public Safety, Enterprise – Retail, Logistics, Energy & Education sectors etc, the SMB Sector and direct to consumers throughout the UK and 150 countries and regions across the world.
With significant R&D investment, my client is advancing its core technologies, covering multi-dimensional perception, artificial intelligence, big data, and beyond.
Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager is responsible for building, managing, maintaining and improving relationships with tier 1 main contractors throughout the UK and Ireland.
The Business Development Manager will work in a proactive and consultative manner to provide best-practice design and product advice and assist contractors in putting together compliant solutions based on their innovative product and service offering.
The Business Development Manager is expected to have previous experience and business success in either consulting or electronic security and p strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build a short, medium and long term pipeline of new business through proactive engagement with assigned Tier 1 Main Contractors
* New Business Development
* Key Account Management
* Product and project specification analysis
* Produce system architecture diagrams detailing how IP Video surveillance, access control and intercom systems will be installed, producing field of view drawings or liaising with internal design engineers when required.
* Conduct CPD presentations in a calm and confident manner
* Project Tracking from inception to completion
* Closing to win business at profitable margins
Preferable Skills:
* Highly motivated business development focused sales manager with 3-5 years’ worth of experience within the electronic security solutions or closely aligned product sector who can demonstrate all of the professional and proactive attributes required to be successful.
* The ability to identify requirements and offer solutions.
* Knowledge of the Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure, Specialist and Residential sectors along with the RIBA Plan of Work
* Good understanding of building fabric and exterior and interior security systems
* Ability to solve complex security problems with comprehensive solutions
* Ability to present and influence to senior decision makers
Personality:
* The ability to communicate at all levels and gain a total understanding of all requirements with strong attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a ‘will do’ attitude
* Totally motivated, fully dedicated, ambitious and be hungry to succeed and grow.
* Excellent collaborative team player that can also operate autonomously and think inside and outside the box

SALARY & BENEFITS
