We are seeking an innovative and entrepreneurial Strategic Partnerships Manager (Senior Business Development Manager), to play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our portfolio of content licensing, eVendor partnerships, and international rights sales. This is an opportunity to drive business activities, identify growth opportunities, and lead a dedicated team towards continued success in a globally recognized academic institution.

About the role

You will work alongside the Head of Business Development to shape the long-term strategy for our diverse sales portfolio. Your role involves:

  • Spearheading a variety of sales activities, particularly focusing on third-party content licensing and eVendor partnerships.
  • Cultivating and managing high-profile external partnerships, overseeing all facets from contract management to financial negotiations.
  • Leading market research efforts to pinpoint new partnership opportunities, negotiating and securing complex agreements to drive academic sales globally.
  • Guiding and managing your team, including international members, ensuring Cambridge's IP is protected and that new ventures complement existing sales channels.

About you

You are an exceptional communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit, possessing:

  • A degree-level education or equivalent industry experience, complemented by proficiency in the Microsoft suite and familiarity with CRM tools and SAP.
  • A strong background in Business Development or Sales, with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  • A people-centric management approach, with the ability to inspire and lead a team under tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset, crucial for liaising with various stakeholders and departments to make well-informed decisions.
