There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project manager to join us at DGS Health Ltd, to lead us as we transform the way that we support our patients, the way our staff are able to work and the sustainability of our general practice services, through the adoption or optimisation of new technology and other initiatives, in particular, EMIS, Arden's and Apex, and to support general practice in basic data analytics.

The post holder will also support the Primary Care Networks (PCNs) with data quality.

The responsibilities of the post-holder will include:

  • Oversee and improve the adoption and/or optimisation of existing and/or new technology to enhance patient access and experience, and to increase PCN productivity
  • Be responsible for a range of digital transformation initiatives for DGS PCNs, managing priorities and interdependencies. Building relationships and facilitating collaboration between practices and the wider system, to support the delivery of care to patients (including shared appointments between practices to aid delivery of enhanced access)
  • Leading an improvement approach to change, including building capability for quality improvement across PCNs, and systemwide approaches to problem solving;
  • Reviewing and improving PCNs digital maturity;
  • Using data, and improving data quality, to:
  • understand demand, capacity and activity, and to drive improvements in:
- patient experience of access,
- operational efficiency including better matching capacity to need,
- staff experience at work;
- support population health management;
- understanding of the type and intensity of support and training needs of PCNs, and coordinate this support, including through OD programmes;
- facilitate clinically-led innovation and the effective adoption of improvement initiatives, including to improve access to services for patients.

  • Supporting deployment of analytics to understand digital exclusion and inequalities within specific practices.
  • Supporting the roll out and adoption of digital solutions for remote monitoring of patients, including digital support for care homes.
  • To work with PCNs and GP practices to rollout the agreed project outcomes, i.e., the standardised approach to practice activity recording, as well as basic data analytics.
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent professional experience;
  • Experience in digital/IM&T project management delivery through the entire project lifecycle from initiation to delivery;
  • Good understanding of the digital agenda within the NHS and social care/care sector;
  • Good understanding of current healthcare policy, relating to primary care and integrated care;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and organise workload, allocating work as necessary;
  • Used to working in a busy environment;
  • Adaptability, flexibility and ability to cope with uncertainty and change;
  • Ability to deliver a vision and a willingness and drive to adapt to NHS targets and business planning, whilst keeping abreast of legislative and contractual changes;
  • Selfmotivation and forwardthinking approach;
  • Excellent organisational, management and planning skills, IT skills and communication skills;
  • Ability to implement and manage change effectively.

Salary:
From £50,000.00 per year
