Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop effective recovery plans for service users.
  • Provide education and health promotion services, including Hepatitis B vaccinations and Naloxone training.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with service users, promoting trust and empowerment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines, ensuring our services meet the highest standards.
  • Provide harm reduction advice and support, ensuring service users have access to essential resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to contractual and administrative requirements.
About You:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Substance Misuse Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional care. Your skills and qualifications should include:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Recent experience working in substance misuse treatment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
  • Ability to assess and recovery plan service users, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Clinical auditing skills to inform service evaluation and improvement.
  • Professional integrity and a non-judgmental attitude towards service users and stakeholders.
