The Business and Enterprise team oversees a range of services along with other parts of the County Council's Economy, Infrastructure and Skills Directorate.

In this role you will work in the Funding, Business & Enterprise Team and will be responsible for providing support to the Programme and Funding Manager.

Main Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:
- provide support to the Programme & Funding Manager and the Project Lead with all aspects of the day-to-day management, co-ordination and delivery associated with start-up and wider support activities.
- develop and maintain electronic and paper-based record-keeping systems.
- prepare relevant information including reports, charts & graphs.
- participate in project management team / local partnership meetings and working groups associated with projects regarding the above.
- preparing relevant project publicity in line with start-up support including PR and media articles.
- provide advice and guidance to potential project applicants and clients regarding the start-up schemes & general business advice.
- maintain budgets & raise purchase orders, invoices etc.

You'll have experience/knowledge in:
- project development and working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- established regeneration activities and appropriate sources of external funding.
- monitoring budgets and audit procedures.
- working with external bodies e.g. District Councils or Local Partnership Groups, Government Departments etc.

You'll have:
- an appropriate degree or equivalent or other relevant experience
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- good ICT skills
- attention to detail
- the ability to work under pressure and manage a variety of tasks
- a positive can-do attitude

The role is fixed term for 12 months.


You may be required to travel to other sites across Staffordshire and so will need to be able to travel throughout the county when needed.
