You will be excited to actively reach out to schools, colleges, Multi Academy Trusts (MATs) and Local Authorities (LAs), and talk to them about what Thrive offers.
You will understand the school sector and be eager to learn about the mindset, decision makers and buying processes in education so you can help customers solve the challenges they face.
This hybrid role offers good salary, commission and employee benefits.You will explain the benefits of Thrive, the positive impact it can have on pupils, handle simple sales of short courses yourself, and refer more complex opportunities to a Regional Development Manager.
You will be confident on the phone, writing emails to a high standard, using Excel spreadsheets, and working with a CRM system to identify leads and document your interactions with prospective customers.
As an important member of the Business Development Team you will provide administrative support to the team, collaborate with colleagues, and feed into the design and implementation of marketing and sales campaigns.
You will be comfortable preparing for and attending networking events, seminars and conferences with Regional Development Managers from time to time.
Your passion and enthusiasm for education will shine through and you will be committed to helping schools adopt a relational approach to ensure every child succeeds.
We will pay for your travel and accommodation to participate in quarterly all staff meet ups in Devon and face to face Business Development Team meetings around the country.
You will assist us with building the customer base to deliver on our ambitious growth strategy - and we will be right there, with a stellar marketing and operations team, supporting and cheering you on.
Call prospective customers (Local Authorities, MATs and schools), engage and nurture them through to the first saleCapture customer data on the CRM system, determine and document next steps
Book sales appointments for customers with Regional Development Managers
Support Regional Development Managers to ensure customer conversations are a success
Prepare for and attend networking events, conferences and exhibitions with Regional Development Managers
Support Regional Development Managers to proactively build and grow the customer database, assist them with market analysis, customer mapping and development planning

Experience of working in the education sector with LAs, MATs & schools. Awareness of education policy, funding, culture & market dynamics. Ability to influence school administrators, teaching staff, school leaders, Multi Academy Trust and Local Authority staff. Knowledge and experience of CRM systems, data and reporting.
