Our client, a global leader in Technology, Information & Internet are currently hiring a Senior VAT Analyst to jong their EU tax team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze and submit European VAT returns (e.g. German VAT returns) and related filings
  • Prepare, analyze and submit Intrastat returns
  • Prepare and review month-end VAT account reconciliations
  • Assist in the mapping of VAT processes, and identify areas for improvement and solutions for VAT issues
  • Prepare and review month-end VAT account reconciliations
  • Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis
  • Provide VAT compliance support to colleagues throughout the business and, in particular, accounting groups;
  • Participate in cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • Strong EU VAT experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Strong accounting/reconciliation skills
  • Strong Excel skills - pivots, vlookups
  • Ability to time manage and work autonomously
  • Experience of working in large complex organisation

This is a full time PAYE contract position for an initial 9 month period, extending to 18 months and/or that is likely to become permanent (although this is not guaranteed).

Hours - 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
