The Role:

  • Support Compliance and Audit Manager in building a culture of compliance and achieving strategic objectives

  • Provide compliance reports and analysis to senior management, keeping them informed of key issues
  • Regularly report on control effectiveness, identified risks, complaint handling, and duty outcomes
  • Lead efforts in detecting risks, addressing compliance failures, and promoting employee understanding of regulatory guidelines
  • Manage Audit and Complaints function to ensure compliance within controls and communicate regulatory changes
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators and relevant bodies

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in financial services sector, preferably in subprime loan market
  • Deep knowledge of UK financial services regulations, particularly high cost
  • Hands-on experience in managing compliance monitoring plans
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with focus on customer outcomes
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities at all organizational levels
  • Proven team management and people development skills, fostering a culture of leadership by example
