Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing housing operations, liaising with tenants, and coordinating with various departments to deliver exceptional service standards.

Main Duties:

  • To provide comprehensive business support to the Housing Maintenance team by responding to Housing Property related customer complaints.
  • You will explore the circumstance of the complaints, prepare responses, and to support managers in responding the complaints and making service improvements or changes to address the issues arising.
  • You will take overall responsibility and a holistic approach to ensuring that complaints are responded to appropriately, within agreed timeframes, questioning actions, proposing service and system improvements, and supporting managers and teams, and creating solutions to achieve positive outcomes.
  • You will liaise with other Council services in respect of issues raised during complaint investigations, including the Council's Legal Service, Finance, Highways, Public Protection and Community Safety .
  • You will be responsible for ensuring data and records are accurate to aid management and strategic decision making Candidates should possess a strong background in housing or a related field, with a proven track record of managing operations efficiently. Exceptional organisational skills are paramount, as is the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in local government or public sector housing will be highly regarded. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a commitment to upholding the council's values and objectives. A solution-focused approach to challenges and the capacity to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, are essential.
