Experienced Test Engineer for Live Build Operations

Position Summary: We are in search of a skilled Production Test Engineer specializing in live build operations. This role is pivotal in delivering technical support for the manufacturing testing of advanced weapon systems, focusing on live build production tests and diagnostics at both system and subsystem levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance for the manufacturing testing of weapon systems.
  • Conduct live build production tests and perform diagnostics on complex weapon systems.
  • Support the test engineering process throughout design and development phases.
  • Ensure test facilities and equipment are prepared and operational.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for production test failures.
  • Participate in Defect Review Board meetings to address equipment and quality issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience with measurement and testing principles, along with relevant test equipment.
  • Proficient in fault finding at electronic system and sub-system levels.
  • Familiarity with the CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of RF and microwave technology at the system level is advantageous.
  • High Voltage training or awareness is required.
  • Experience with SAP is beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including technical specification and report writing.

Personal Attributes: The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and excellent planning and organizational skills to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently.

Security Clearance: Candidates must be British Citizens or Dual UK nationals with British citizenship. All successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS).
