We uphold values and principles that guide our operations. This is an exciting time to be part of our journey.

Community Reablement:

Whether you are a student seeking weekend work, a parent with family commitments, or someone considering retirement but not ready to fully disengage, we welcome your interest.

We prioritize work-life balance and offer a variety of flexible work patterns that accommodate your needs.

Our reablement service assists individuals in returning home after a hospital stay, supporting them in regaining their independence in daily tasks. As a Community Reablement Worker, you will collaborate with individuals in their homes to help them restore their confidence and autonomy through personalized plans tailored to their unique needs.

Your role may involve assisting them in their morning routine, preparing meals, or managing their medication. You will empower them to perform tasks independently rather than completing them for them.

While experience and qualifications are beneficial, your personal values and attitude are paramount for this role. A natural inclination to help others and a rewarding approach to supporting individuals in regaining their independence are essential.

Strong communication skills, flexibility, and companionship are key attributes for success in this position. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required, with mileage claims available at a competitive rate.

In Return, We Offer:

  • A flexible schedule that accommodates your plans
  • Electric vehicle leasing options
  • A supportive and welcoming management team
  • Enhanced pay rates for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • iPad and iPhone provided
  • Generous mileage reimbursement
  • Opportunities for professional development in Health and Social Care, including Care certificate and various training programs
  • Pathways for advancement within health and social care
  • Family-friendly policies and practices
  • An inclusive environment that values diversity

  • Discounts from local and national retailers

Central Bedfordshire Council is dedicated to making our area 'A great place to live and work'.
