Job Overview

As a Wind Turbine Technician at Full Circle Wind Services, you will be integral to the upkeep, operation, and repair of our wind turbine installations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine inspections, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to enhance turbine efficiency. This role requires travel to various sites for service and maintenance, following a two-week on, two-week off work schedule. It is essential that you possess the right to work in the EU without restrictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Carry out scheduled inspections and maintenance on onshore wind turbines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or technical issues affecting turbine functionality.
  • Execute repairs or component replacements as necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Document maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and service reports meticulously.
  • Engage in special projects, including turbine commissioning and major component replacements.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and best practices in wind turbine maintenance.
  • Client Interaction
  • Maintain communication with clients on-site regarding service status and updates.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures, proactively identifying potential hazards.
  • Ensure the quality of all turbine components and understand the interconnections within the system.
  • Be accountable for the safe operation of electrical and mechanical components in the turbines.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Work alongside engineering and operational teams to enhance turbine performance.
  • Focus on improving the efficiency of our wind turbine fleet based on performance analysis.
  • Occasionally assist with remote monitoring tasks from the control room.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and unrestricted right to work in the EU.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in electrical or mechanical fields related to wind turbine maintenance are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems as they pertain to wind turbines.
  • Ability to work at heights and in diverse weather conditions, demonstrating physical fitness.
  • Proficient in using technical manuals and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
  • Strong commitment to adhering to safety standards.
  • Experience in maintaining or servicing mechanical or electrical systems, ideally in the renewable energy sector.
